The Facial Course has been designed to help learners understand the role of becoming a Skin care specialist, learning the key skills and practices as a skin care specialist, discussing the importance of health and safety and the practical aspects of a skin care therapist.

•  Contra indications and Contra actions
•  Skin Conditions
• Preparation
• Skin Types & Product Selection
•  Treatment
• Facial Technique, Cleanse, Tone, Steam & Extract
• Facial Technique Massage
• Facial Technique Mask, Moisturise & Eye Care
• Treatment Adaptations & Aftercare

Assessment

Once the online theory has been completed you are then contacted by email to complete the practical aspect of assessment. This includes

•  Maintain safe and effective methods of working when improving and maintaining facial skin condition
• Consult, plan and prepare for facials with clients
• Improve and maintain skin condition
• Provide aftercare advice

Certificate

On successful completion of the Facial practical and theory, a certificate will be available to download or a hard copy purchased at an additional cost.

Course Format

This course is delivered by Blended learning, the theory part is available online for you to complete at your own pace. It has no time frame so there is no pressure to complete by a certain date; however, once the theory has been completed we will contact you to complete your practical session at a time to suit you.

Course Duration

The online theory part can take as long as needed; there will be no time frame for completion. However, Once the theory has been completed the practical aspect can be booked. Once the practical aspect has been completed a certificate will be available for download for free or a hard copy can be purchased for an additional cost.

As part of the Facial course, you will receive access to our dedicated tutor support service. The academic tutors will be able to provide you with unlimited online email support or by an arranged telephone call to help answer any questions that you may have whilst you are studying the course.

Once you have enrolled on the course and paid the course fee, you will have immediate access to the online course modules which means you can start learning straight away. Practical training will be provided within three weeks of completion of the theory aspect of the course.

How long will it take me to complete the course?

The time it takes to complete the course will depend on how quickly you learn as an individual, and also on the number of hours per day you spend on it. The practical element of the course will require one day depending on chosen group size.

Is there a time limit for completing the course?

No.

Is the course accredited?

The course is fully accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists for membership and insurance and follows the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for beauty, nails and holistic guidelines.
